Hello All, I am working in a Small to Mid Size IT firm from the past 3 years and I love my work (Sales). However the CEO who is actually the owner of the company is biased towards 1-2 people (mostly females) and doesnt not point out their mistakes or non-performance. You must be thinking that it shouldnt bother a person who is working well but my efforts are not appreciated even though I have brought much more revenue for the firm. This impacts our appraisals as well were even non performers (favorites) gets a similar/better increment. One of the favorites has got Work From Home forever and performance bonus (just to do social media postings which is her only job) and is paid better than others. I cannot stand such a demotivating and negative environment but cant do anything as it is an owner driven company. I eagerly want to change the job but currently their are not much job openings in the IT Sales market with decent raise. I am continuously searching for the new one but till I get one how should i deal with the present situation. Kindly advice me, would really appreciate.

It is a sorry state of affairs that despite your sincere efforts, your boss/owner of the Company does not acknowledge your had work, instead he favors other employees. I can understand your heart burn. I would like to say that you should continue to do your job with sincerity and honesty, without bothering about the other employees. Please remember that hard work and honesty always pay in the long run. Whenever, you get a decent opportunity, you could switch over to another job. Wish you all the best.
