Diary Thursday 7th December 2017 A fairly routine day at work, where dealing with small packages is now pretty much my main duty though I briefly got to straighten mail for feeding through a machine. This amounted to turning the letters so the stamps were in the top right hand corners. It was extremely tedious and I’m glad I only did it for half an hour rather than all day. In the evening Ii went to the film society where we had a talk with computer editing tips, which was very interesting. I usually get a lift home after these events but the chap who normally drives me home didn’t have his car tonight so I came back on the bus. Diary Friday 8th December 2017 A very busy day at work. I was quite exhausted when I got home. Diary Saturday 9th December 2017 As usual ion a Saturday I was a little late getting to work as there are no early buses from my home at weekends. The day went quickly which I was glad about as it was snowing out, the first full snow fall here this year, and in fact there ws no snow at all last year. My new photo storage hard drive arrived today though not due until Tuesday, so I was delighted by that. I stayed up until nearly 3 AM using it. Diary Sunday 10th December 2017 A relaxed shopping day and a chance to play with my new photo storage equipment all day. Diary Monday 11th December 2017 I was asked to be on call this morning. I had to be up by 7 AM to await a phone call that would tell me to come in to work. I got up ready but no call came. I was quite grateful about that. The cold weather might be causing problems with the areas electricity as my computer crashed frequently, ruining my chances to get online much at all. Arthur Chappell

I can imagine how boring it can be to turn the letters so the stamps were in the top right hand corners. I imagine that those days are the busiest of the years for the small packages, Christmas is approaching.

It sounds like you're having fun playing with your new 'toy'. Hope the weather doesn't get worse. We've hearing how bad it is in some parts of England.

@JudyEv we tend to be sheltered here, though low lying ground in Preston we have hills on three sides so the worst weather misses us most of the time

It's nice that they are understanding about the Saturday bus. A lot of places wouldn't.
