Mario Batali goes down for sexual harassment

This one hurts. I'm a huge Mario Batali fan so I was upset this morning to see that 4 women have accused him of sexual harassment/assault over a 20 year period. 3 of them are former employees. Batali has apologized, admitted that the claims are fitting with his behavior, and has stepped away from the day-to-day running of his businesses and from co-hosting The Chew.
I just don't understand why men think that it is appropriate or acceptable to grab or touch women without their permission, why they speak crudely to them, or why they have to discuss sexual things in the work place. Mario seemed like such a well-educated and good natured guy. This really is a huge disappointment.

I honestly had no idea who he is until now. I don't think this stuff is going away anytime soon.

@NJChicaa - I honestly never heard of him. We really only watch the cooking shows on PBS and Create. Ming Tsai is my favorite.

@teamfreak16 I love Italian food and Mario is a giant in that world. He is also in Athens Chew which I used to watch regularly.

It's really sad, but hopefully men will stop this behavior now they know there will be consequences.
