An office mate of mine asked me that yesterday during lunch time...it was quite awkward amd annoying since it was none of his business at all. So i just said "i didn't say yes to anyone yet." Then he asked again how mamy courted me... i totally ignored him after that. Some people just don't think before they speak.

If he insist, be direct and tell him "none of your business".

He has no business to poke his nose into your personal affairs. These kinds of guys should be totally ignored.

Some people like gossip. I can understand how annoyed you felt to it since it is your privacy. It is nobody's business.

I don't want to be asked too why I don't have a boyfriend. It's my fault I'm not a flirt when I was younger so didn't find a love life

If the one who told you that is a girl that already has, then really quite an arrogance. If it is a man who's also a single, maybe he has some plan on courting you. If a man with partner already, seems building a peer pressure. If it is your friend, then maybe just concern?

Say, "What is it to you?" Tell him that you aren't interested in his private life, either. So he should leave you alone. No need to be friendly to him.

Oh...funny and crazy people. Not having a boy friend does not mean not having a love life. In India, it is only a negative point to have a boy friend. Of course, the trend is changing now. At the same time, people are not viewing of not having any boy friend as a stigma. Moreover, there is an open verbal attack and criticism of parents allowing their children to have boy friends.
