hey, alabama!

December 13, 2017 1:05am CST
What did you do? I woke up this morning, all cosy in my English bed, and discovered that Facebook has gone crazy and is worshipping you like you're a goddess who has come to earth to smite the wicked. Is that what you did? You smited? Smote? Cut cleanly in two with your trusty Michonne sword? *big eyes of wonder* I'm rather impressed, Alabama. Most get famous for photos where they're flashing their knickers, or when some ex posts links to that one p0rn video they stupidly made during studenthood, or because they were proposed to by a Prince. Some just have infamously ginormous bottoms. Others star in reality telly shows that nobody cares about, or they assault women. But, Alabama. You've seemingly rocked America like a granny going wild in a rocking chair, no knickers flashed. I may be wrong, Alabama, but I think your friends are going to be patting you on the back, and thanking you profusely from the bottom of their merry little eggnogged hearts, for the next twenty-four hours, at least. I don't know what you did, Alabama, but you seem to have surprised many people, making them happy and excited, like toddlers at a birthday party. Well done, kiddo!

I found nothing on my FB page mentioning Alabama. May be that they consider Swiss are not concerned at all.

@Marty1 Thank you Jennifer, it's my Christmas avatar. It snowed during three days here, not a lot of snow, but we have a white landscape.

I must admit to not knowing what you were talking about until I read the comments. I very rarely use Facebook.

Well, it was on the news too. But I think that was just to appease people like me who were force-fed the information on social media!

Maybe it's just one of those quirky little things. Normality will be resumed by the weekend!

I haven't been on Facebook yet. Are you referring to the state or the band? My first thoughts were the band.....

There's a band? And a state? I thought it was a girl's name! Just jesting. The state. I've not heard of the band. Nor do I know anybody called Alabama.

@Poppylicious Sounds like it has something to do with the politic situation right now in USA. I read a few articles about this, they were all about that guy in Alabama. (Am I right?)
