A pretty rough few days

It all started yesterday morning around 4am. My husband was getting ready to go into work early since it snowed and the other guy who plows had the day off. I can usually sleep through him getting ready for work, but I was feeling sick to my stomach. The 24 hour stomach bug had got me(2 out of the 5 of us had already had it). I was down for the count. I somehow managed to get the van out of the driveway and the kids to school. The rest of the day was spent resting and clearing the rest of the snow from the driveway. After dinner I noticed my son had a weird rash on his leg. It bothered him a bit, but we were able to get him to sleep. An hour later he woke up and was inconsolable. No amount of cuddles and soothing helped. Off to the 24 hour urgent care we went. He behaved pretty good for the 4 hours we waited in the waiting room, and once we got a room with a bed he fell asleep. He actually slept through the exam too. I did have to wake him to leave because after shoveling and spending so much time in those uncomfortable chairs, my back was bothering me. He went to bed just fine once we did make it home. I fell asleep pretty quickly as well. We both slept in, which meant the girls were late for school. But my son also woke up with pinkeye. Oh and the doctor didn’t have a clue as to what caused the rash, but it turns out he has an ear infection. After filing his prescription and picking up drops for his eye(I really didn’t want to got back and wait at urgent care again), we are home for the day and will watch some cartoons in bed. At this point momma is pretty burnt out. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

If you need some help a quick call could bring me to your door. I haven't moved away just yet.

Thanks. It seems we are on the mend. Yesterday was a tad rough, but today was better. Tomorrow everyone will be in school so I’ll be able to get back on track.

Your son had a pain on his leg, and they said that he had an ear infection?

He was pretty upset so getting a clear answer as I what was wrong wasn’t happening. For some reason he didn’t have a fever or any other signs of an ear infection.

We both took quite the nap yesterday, which unfortunately meant the little guy was up way past his bedtime last night. Today we skipped the nap and he should be sleeping shortly.
