The light at the end of the tunnel (and hopefully it's not an oncoming train!)

I had surgery this morning to remove the offending kidney stone. Surgery took a couple of hours and thankfully, I was under general anesthesia, so I didn't feel anything. There was a slight delay while they checked my labs to sure I didn't still have any infection. I only had to be stuck with the needle twice, which was stressful considering all the times the lab tech couldn't get a vein when I was in the hospital with the massive UTI. But all results were clear, praise God. Then they did another chest x-ray to see why my oxygen level was low, even after a breathing treatment. The doctor thought at first I might have a partialy collapsed lung. So very thankful that didn't turn out to be true. Finally got to surgery, then woke up. Which is always a good thing. After some Ginger Ale and seeing that everything was working like it should, I was released to come home. I'll get the temporary stent out in a week and I just pray this is the end of my medical drama for a good while. I do so very much appreciate all your prayers and good wishes. Hope all you guys are well or will soon be. I'll be praying for y'all too.

I am glad to hear everything went okay! Did they ever figure out why your oxygen levels were low?

@1creekgirl Best of luck. I hope it was just a fluke thing and not anything you have to worry about.

I tried to like your discussion but I had difficulties. I'm glad everything went well with you. I know what it's like. I'm on oxygen at night and they have to give me oxygen in the anesthesia to keep my stats up.

I'm trying to do things that might get my oxygen levels up like drinking more water, getting fresh air and exercise, and more protein. I know some of those things are impossible for you, but hope you'll improve also.

I'm surprised that you feel like myLotting after this intervention. I have been under partial and general anaesthesia several times in my life. I remember that I always felt only like relaxing when it was wearing off.

I've had lots of surgeries over the years, and I must say I felt better sooner after this one. After a bowl of soup and a long nap, I felt really pretty good. But after a couple of hours, I realised I wasn't as strong as I thought. Relaxing now, trying not to over-do it.
