Me And The Chameleon

One of my favourite and most unforgettable moments in life took place during a friend’s wedding at the Manchester Museum. They have a section with live animals I including spiders, snakes and lizards including this chameleon. As a treat for the guests they got some of the animal out for guests to handle. The chameleon was placed on my arm and stayed there quite contentedly. They do not change colour to blend in totally with their backgrounds but in reflection of their mood and body temperature. After passing him to other guests to handle I mingled with other guest and suddenly found him on my shoulder when he decided to leap back to me. He was a very friendly chameleon. Arthur Chappell

Chameleon. Great. I am afraid of it. They are highly poisonous also. Didn't you know that?

Chameleons seem to be quite friendly. We met one on holiday in Spain, just strolling along a wall in the sunshine.

An interesting wedding entertainment idea. I would certainly be keen to see one, the snakes less so!

@asfarasiknow I quite like handling snakes. They are remarkably smooth to the touch, not rough and scaly as you might expect

That would be really cool. Unfortunately, snakes and spiders creep me out so much that I wouldn't even go in there!
