My father doesn't love me anymore.

Lots of things change when we have our own family. My father used to love me a lot when I was a child. He used to fulfill our each and every desire small or big. But things have changed now after I have my own kids as now he doesn't even like to talk to me. I don't know how the things have been changed but they have changed for sure. I need to discuss if there is something in his mind . If there is any misunderstanding then it has to be cleared otherwise this gap will broaden only. In life we should always discuss whenever we feel that our loved person has stopped us loving. What do you say?

You should talk to him. Especially since things do change, but not talking to your parent or child shouldnt be the things that change.

Normally it is the other way. Adult children get busy with their lives and have no time for parents. You should find the reason and break the ice since you want the relationship back on even keel - siva

@Shiva49 I have tried it but he seems to adamant and looks as if he is not going to change so easily.

This is truth that I remain busy with my kids but still I have been seeing some changes in his behavior , he was not like this. May be someone has said something about me and he has taken that without clarifying the things.

@sjvg1976 Better to be open with him and to broach the subject directly. Of course that depends on your usual approach as some may find it difficult. If I were you, I will slowly get to the matter and then clear the misunderstanding - siva

Oh it is normal for me. My dad stopped loving me when I got married because Chinese folks believed that once your girl is married, she is not your child anymore. Same goes with the son

I agree its important to talk to people when we feel like something could be a problem. Your father just might be trying to give you your own space and not intrude or feels like he might be a burden. But like you said, there also could be something on his mind or a trouble he isn't sharing. No one will really know, unless they ask and talk about it!

I was going to say he probably still does love you but gosh I can’t imagine why he doesn’t even want to talk to you. How sad! I do think you should discuss it with him.

Perhaps there is something that he might not want to talk openly about but yet he still wants to talk even though he might not seem to pay any attention to you like you were used to. Be kind as you can to him and very slowly see if you can get to find out what is troubling him. Try the odd day here and there to try and talk to him and approach him on different levels to try and see what it is.

@sjvg1976 Sometimes the emotional pain of a person is too deep for them to say so and they become blocked not knowing how to say or what to do. Try and reach him on various levels like talking to him about any subject that he might like and take it from there. Only a thought it might just work.

I don’t think that a father could stop loving his kids. Maybe it’s something else

I hope you talk to him soon. That bond from childhood shouldn't just disappear when you have your own family. In fact it should strengthen.

Maybe it was just a sort of misunderstanding. You should probably talk to him to clear things out.
