Christmas time is here, no not the song the season. Time to sip the egg nog, attend parties, buy gifts, send out those cards, decorate the house and tree, and of course sing Christmas Carols. Which brings me to my topic. A music series of my favorite "Classic songs" with Christmas in the title.
So lets get this Christmas show started! Here is a little rockin video tune which has Christmas in the title but is "not" today's trivial answer.
Here are a few interesting facts about the video artist:
- "Last Christmas" is a song by English pop duo Wham!, released on Epic Records in 1984. Originally written and produced by George Michael, it has been covered by many artists.
-George Michael was one of the best-selling music artists of all time. His debut solo album Faith sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
-Michael died on Christmas day 2016. Although cause of death was inconclusive it was specualted he died from a heart attack due to an autopsy which revealved a dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis.
Now for your clues to our Christmas trivia tune and the recording artists:
-This brother and sister duo had 15 # 1 hits on the Adult Contemporary charts. They recorded such classics as "Close To You" and "We've Only Just Begun." This Christmas tune was the group's signature song. It was featured with the drummer's re-recorded vocal on their Christmas Portrait album of 1978. Their original 1970 version reached # 1 on Billboard's Christmas singles chart in 1970. The duo planned to reunite for a tour in 1983, but sadly, the sister died as a result of heart failure stemming from her anorexia nervosa condition.
Do you know the artist and their hit Christmas song?
I do appreciate all who participate, read, and comment on my music trivia posts. As always, thanks for playing! Hope these songs brought back a pleasant memory for some...Use those clues!!!!

She could have sung the phone book. I wasn’t crazy about everything they did, especially some of their arrangements (such as “Ticket to Ride”), but her voice was exquisite.

Yes, a voice of an angel. Richard should of known better than to mess with The Beatles. They did quite a few covers of popular artists at the time; The Marvelettes, Eagles, and Herman's Hermits to name a few.
