You wake up and there is a stranger asleep on your floor!

A couple in Beaverton, Oregon woke up to find a strange man asleep and snoring on their bedroom floor. The story I read about this said that the couple escorted the guy to the front door and sent him on his way. It was only then that they discovered that their cell phones and wallets were missing. That is when they called the police. In many states of the union this guy would have been shot or held at gunpoint until the police arrived. I can't believe that these people were so nice to a man who had broken in or come in illegally to their home. I would have looked for my wallet and grabbed the phone to report the guy. I would have been so startled that the police would be my first thought. Would you just send the guy out the door?

Luckily for me Ally won't let strangers into the house although one might get into my yard

Not many dogs would allow this to happen, I know.

At least not without waking up their families @JamesHxstatic another good reason to have house puppies .... pups kept in the yard don't always do a lot of good but those indoors get to yappin and some will actually try to wake up the family.

@JamesHxstatic - I'm afraid I would not have been so nice. However, years ago, my brother-in-law and his wife were living in Guerneville, CA, which is a very casual, hippy community. They came home one day and found someone sleeping in their bed! They just told him to leave, which he did. Nothing was missing. I guess some people are less disturbed by things like that!

Apparently so. Finding someone in your bed would be startling.

@JamesHxstatic - I certainly thought so. I could not believe my brother-in-law and his wife were so calm about it! But, there was a real Hippie feeling to that part of California in those days.

Our house alarms would have automatically sent the police, who are stationed nearby in the center of town. Only one way in to our street and the same way out.

I find the whole thing so unnatural. Imagine a stranger in your bedroom and you just escort him to the door!!!!!!

No, I would not. So they called the police and did the police catch him and get their phones and wallets back? Did they put him in jail or is he still out there?

Oh my goodness.how scary! I guess something similar happened to someone I know. She lives close to a local dive bar. Some drunk one night came in (they didn't lock the door apparently?) and passed out on the couch. Even more funny is that she has a large Rottweiler dog - who did absolutely nothing. The man didn't steal anything, apologized and left....
