The Affirmation Station

We had an extremely busy day today, but while we were at the main bus terminal awaiting a transfer, I noticed a new piece of street art, the Affirmation Station, and I managed to get a photo.
As you can see, the Affirmation Station resembles a street crossing signal, only with positive feedback instead of "Don't Cross" on the signs: "You Are Strong," and "You Are Important." Push the button that you would use when you want to cross, and the sign speaks to you, saying "You can do it!"
Downtown Colorado Springs has been displaying Art on the Streets for 19 years. The art is strategically placed around the Downtown area. It is all available for sale.
The Affirmation Station won a $10,000 Juror Award. Created by Denver Artist Timothy Flood, the piece is available for $8,000.
You can learn more about the Affirmation Station and other pieces at the link below.
Art on the Streets has enlivened the public spaces of Downtown with a yearly exhibit of works of sculpture from around the world. View what's on display.

That's pretty cool. It reminds me of Daily Affirmations with Stewart Smiley. It's funny, but Al Franken isn't laughing too much these days.

@misunderstood_zombie - That looks really cool. I know exactly where it is. I'm going to have to go see it in person.

@teamfreak16 I looked at some of the artwork in the video, and I really like the deer with the antlers turning into a tree.

That’s considerably cooler than our “gallopalooza” horses.
