School is filled with flurries of projects on top of the regular academics schedule.
We made and delivered twenty six "gifts" of Rudolf paper cups, filled with Chex mix, in a barbecue flavor. This went to teachers, the principal, the nurse, office personnel, the bus driver, the custodians.
We raised, and sold houseplants and herbs. We are delivering those. Our students then are learning "customer service" and how to write a receipt and sign it. The kids have had special "art week" items and in their "regular" classroom they have had the chance to make gifts for their parents.
We are supposed to swim today.
Two and one half days to attend next week.

For kids who need a structured setting it is a fine line between participating and withdrawing or melting down. We are having fun, though, and we have made some cute art projects.

Oh, yes we have. Hopefully they are still accidentally learning things.

Swimming felt good today. I also got to help my afternoon student with a classroom art project.

The staff have had "special" days as well, and that makes it fun.

There are days when I hate to go anywhere. I am part of the teaching staff and at least I get paid for being there. Why do you hate school?
