We all have traditions that were passed down through the generations. Some get dropped along the way but others stay with us year after year. What is some of your Christmas traditions that you have been doing for years and continue to do so?

Every year we take the kids to see the Christmas lights in an amazing neighborhood where every single house is lit up! They love it. =) We also bake cookies together and leave them out for Santa-they love doing that. And we always find a way to bless someone who is having a hard time.

Those are wonderful traditions. I remember my parents taking us for a drive to see the lights and I did the same with my children. Baking cookies for Santa is always fun.

For quite a few years we used to host a big Christmas Brunch. Anyone in the family that had no place to go was more then welcome, others worked their plans around coming to our place and leaving totally stuffed. And then our son took over the role and he used to host it, but this year we are changing things up a bit. I'll miss it, but I'm excited for the new chapter that we'll begin.

Since my divorce all the traditions are gone. If I get the movie I want there will be one coming back. Every year me my ex and the kids would go get a Starbucks come home get on our pajamas and pop popcorn and watch polar express movie. I want to do that with my boyfriend.

One tradition we have is that on Christmas Eve at midnight, you can talk to the animals and they can talk to you. Trouble is, we've never been up that late to try it out! We've been talking about it for years!

@Happy2BeMe yeah I guess. Just hate how different Christmas is now. No stockings, no open one gift every christmas eve before bed, no everyone gets 10+ gifts. Etc. But oh well.

Our family's Christmas tradition is to just exchange gifts with one another and just be in unison during Christmas day.
