Lights, cameras, action? Does that describe your house at Christmas? Real tree, fake tree, electricity... Seems some people take it to extremes:
Matt Johnson’s latest Christmas light show continues the tradition and unique style of fast-paced, high-energy, Dubstep and EDM remixed synchronized light di...

@pgntwo Not far from us is an estate of houses that can probably be seen from Mars such is the twinkly, epilepsy-inducing effect of its garishness. I still don't know whose electric supply they are plugged into.

We already had "Santa Claus is coming to kill you" today, I should have guessed that Dark Vader was not far. There is absolutely no decoration on my house and the surrounding houses, and I am fine with that.

On the outside, no - but inside, perhaps some twinkly lights or a small tree...? Or even a card or two on the mantlepiece?

@pgntwo Yes, a few "Santons de Provence" on the mantlepiece.

I think there should be Xmas tree cake mold. People should eat the cake each day. If I were Christian I would do that. If I were in Australia, I would make Xmas ice cream. lol. How unfortunate for those trees.

They've already thought of that, in the form of the rather delicious Yule log...

@pgntwo Sigh...when will I ever be original. But I thought of it like a normal Christmas tree...only cake..and with green icing, standing vertical. People could go and help themselves.

Very quiet in my house and nothing too bright or exaggerated from the houses of the neighbors.

@pgntwo Fireworks are not allowed here, except the official ones in some major cities. Unfortunately I live close enough to the Italian border to hear those of my compatriots.

@LadyDuck Perhaps a night for a thermos of hot chocolate and a drive up the nearest hill to view as well as hear the firework show from South of the border

This is the coolest thing I've ever seen, at least the coolest Christmas decorations. I wish this house was in my neighborhood, I would park my car there every night and just enjoy.

My house looks boring as I have no decorations and lights. I do not want to attract carolers and I am too lazy to clean up post holiday. I just celebrate at a Friend's house...... Free food!!!

@pgntwo I have no family yet, so I have no reason to cook some holiday dinner. I think my friends enjoys seeing me get wasted with Booze so....

Sounds like a good way to do it, so long as your friends have the means and the inclination to feed you

@CaptAlbertWhisker @SuezNewz2 on here was writing about a chocolate variety of Baileys she saw somewhere. Might be quite tasty. Last time I had Baileys was after the first meal service on a transatlantic flight from San Francisco to Munich a few years back. It tastes great on ice at 39,000 feet too

Stunning to see, certainly. Takes a lot of time and planning to make it look that good, I imagine.

Real tree mean cut down a real tree, fake tree mean a tree made of plastic like stuff; but that results in No tree for nature. You can have your entire house as decoration.

We have lights and decorations and a fake tree...we don't go overboard....now there's a house down the road that plans all year for Decembers extravaganza.

Some people do tend to overdo when it comes to Christmas decorations both indoors and outdoors. We have a little fiber-optic tree.
