Being Thankful On Another Level

I was thinking(head hurts now) that we all should really be more thankful for all we have. I for one take a lot of it for granted. In the 1800's women had it so much tougher. They had to make the butter, make everything from scratch. They sewed much of their own clothes, curtains, etc. We don't have to make it from scratch. And we all have electric or gas ranges. No wood burning stoves to keep track of. Now if we want something we can just look at a catologue or even have it made custom. Few people take the time to make things from scratch. For me we have ice cream as a treat quite often. That's just ONE thing. Have you thought about this level of our lives lately?

Yes especially when we had no power for 2 days and no heat. Although I am going off grid, it wont be back to primitive times. But I will make my own soap and tap trees for maple syrup. :)

I sometimes think a simpler life would be less complicated - but after reading your post I certainly don't mean having to make everything myself.

It's nice to have options. Some things we don't like to do we can just pick up at the store.

yes. Undeniably we should be grateful to God. At the same time, we should keep a watch on the limit of doing or getting everything whether ready-made or homemade.

Actually there are many innovation and inventions today that are unnecessary and only clutter our lives. One"normal" family activity you will see is every member is on their cell phone or laptop more often than actually talking to each other. For that they sent a text message

The cell phone thing is rather sad. I don't have one and won't for a long time to come.
