So So Busy!!

So training has been over for about a week at my new job.. and holy heck is that place ever busy! It might just be because it's the holiday season and people need their money to shop, but most days we have a line out the door that doesn't quit! I'm exhausted by lunch time and ready for a nap. But the good news is it's the weekend and I get Monday off too, so I get some down time and can relax and unwind and get ready for another week.. and next week will be a short one. In addition to the crazy work schedule, I've been busy outside of work as well with holiday concerts and band meetings etc.. So I just feel like I'm about to lose my mind right now... thank goodness I don't have to worry about shopping or wrapping or preparing for the holidays as that's already done. How are you all handling this busy season?

I've been busy with work, shopping, wrapping, doctors appointments etc too i haven't had time to just sit down relax and do nothing. I had my outing last night for date night so tonight i am in for the night and having some me time and going to enjoy every minute of it.

We will probably do a family outing tomorrow, there are a few holiday festivities we do each year that we haven't done yet this year, so we'll probably have to knock them out tomorrow.. but then I get Monday to relax some more!

@katsmeow1213 Sounds like fun and hope the weather is good for your outing. I'm inside the rest of the day today and tomorrow. Then I have bowling tomorrow night

@Blondie2222 It's freezing out today, and one of our outings is outdoors.. but we pretty much have to do it today... it's basically our last chance!

I know the "losing my mind" part - it was that way with me up until now. I did extra volunteering at school, and the school also had the holiday programs and events. It was just layers of scheduling, shopping, and things that just popped up . . .I seriously had to live day by day. But most of it is done now (well it had better be) - hopefully next week (after Christmas) things will go a whole lot slower ).

Yes things have calmed down some. I get a nice 3 day weekend again, and have no real plans so I think I'm going to veg in front of the TV as much as possible. Hope you have a great new year!

@much2say Thanks you too! I'm not ready to go back to routine.. time off is great and I'm feeling super lazy lately. Must have the winter blues or something.

@katsmeow1213 Vegging out sounds super appealing! Glad you got some good time off. We are busy now for New Year's stuff - but next week will be the kids last week of vacation too. And then back to routine. Happy New Year to you and your family . . . enjoy 2018!!!

What makes me busy this holiday season is work. For Christmas shopping, I will only buy gifts for my parents.

Working from home allows opportunities to relax. It sounds as if there's heavy loads and busy work schedules can certainly cause fatigue. Relaxation is needed.

I've just taken a couple of days to enjoy the quiet of my sewing room. Now I'm ready to face the insanity of the season.
