I had purchased ten pounds of potatoes, but forgot and got ten pounds more. Potatoes may be a mainstay for the rest of the year. On our evening table were microwaved baked potatoes, topped with chili, cheese, sour cream and onion. We are drinking elderberry juice with other juices to fight our colds so that was our fruit. I like to top potatoes as a fast meal when the weather is cold. If I do not do that I will make potato soup, or potato salad to have on hand. Potatoes are a good source of potassium, if you leave the skin on. We always do.It is better for me to eat this style potato, rather than bread as it takes longer to digest. So did you buy too much of something? Do you have a fast and easy base for a meal? I think we all do have our basics we go to.

For Asians rice is our main staple food but potato has become popular because of fast foods like McDonald.

I would like to eat more rice but it is not hubby's favorite. I am not as fond of fast food potatoes as I am of those cooked whole.

There are only two of us here. I have almost six dozen eggs in my fridge right now, purchased at 57 cents per dozen, but those are good for my blood sugar. Potatoes really are not bad, either.

I buy TP in bulk, but it will not rot, you just have to find a place to stash it.

Having twenty pounds of potatoes would not be a hardship at our house. I often buy that many. When my children were young inboughtnfiftynpounds at a time....

Hubby said when his dad started cutting hair for him and a few others, the cousins often brought 100 bags of potatoes to exchange for a haircut, but there were six people in the family.

I can eat potatoes every day, just like bacon. My dad often buys too much of the same vegetable or fruit.

Baked potatoes topped with chili, cheese, and sour cream sounds good. I don't usually buy too much of anything, unless I forget that I already bought pasta and buy another box. But that will keep and I will wind up using it eventually.

Water takes up space but probably will not spoil. I will just plan a lot of potato dishes.
