Its A Good Sign

Although I was in bed the entire day Saturday, mostly sleeping but at times just reading because I was unable to set up, I did sleep well last night. 6 hours of deep sleep, that is a good sign. I watched Church on T.V., Joel Osteen and I felt like eating something. What I did not know. I am not one to want eggs and meat when I wake at all, nor any sweet cereal. I opted for a can of beets and I ate most of it. No feeling of throwing up. that is a good sign. Now that 2 hours have passed and I am still up and mylotting I know I am getting a wee bit better. I also know that I have to force myself to get up and move around, people who have the flu and does not get up usually has it to turn into pneumonia , a new kind of illness no one wants. Its a good sign I want to fight back, even in this weak state, makes me realize I am not dead at all. How is your day going? Photo : This is a painting I did myself back when the swine flu surfaced and was killing so many people.

I find it so strange that you could eat "beets" for breakfast.

I was vegan for a while so I am not a picky eater, breakfast is just like any other meal.

At least you are home and not out spreading your germs around to other innocent people! I'm happy you are beginning to feel better and love the artwork!

Thank you. Tony went to the drive thur to get KFC last night and he told the cashier to sterilize her hands because he has been sick, she said " that is okay, I already have streep throat" Tony came home and scrubbed everything before we ate. Its sad people have to go to work sick and make more people sick.

@andriaperry Oh, cripes! That's how it was when I taught school, too. Parents sent their poor sick kids in, because they had to work. Those kids got all the other kids and all the teachers and staff sick, too.

I didn’t realize that if you lay around with the flu it turns to pneumonia but that does make sense! When I start feeling hungry again that is when I know I am getting better. Glad you got these signs and know your going to feel much better soon!

@andriaperry I had heard that about some surgeries. My fathers friend has his appendix out years and years ago and wouldn’t get up like the doctors said and he wound up with bronchitis or pneumonia and was in even more pain.

Sure glad to hear you're a little better. Although beets would have made me sick all over again! Love the photo you made.

Just waiting for tonight's Raiders game. I don't think they are going to win, but I'm watching anyway.

Been a slow day here at work. Many of my colleagues are already on leave. Mine will start tomorrow. We'll have a shutdown for the holidays. Will be back for work after New Year.

Very nice work of art. Those eyes look alive. I am thinking what I should have for lunch - I didn't have time to bake anything like I had planned originally.

What a good painting--you can see the fear in the eyes of the infection. I never heard that before about the flu and walking, but I will keep that in mind.
