What do you mean by that old proverb above? Do you believe in that proverb? Does oppurtunity knocks only once in real life? Do you grab any oppurtunity that comes along the way? How many "golden opportunity" that we misses or passes by in our life? These are the thoughts that are going on im my mind right at this very moment as I recall the past, as I focus on the present and as I anticipate the future... Photo credit: chinese4kids.net

No. I think opportunities knock more than once, just that they are in different forms. Often, we don't see them as opportunities.

This is a hard thing to say. I believe that sometimes, we need to make the opportunities come to us instead of waiting for something which might possibly not happen.

@holdoors That's right my friend. Sometimes we need to create an oppurtunity or just simply makes it happen.

@kepweng Maybe. I think God might put us in certain situation but it is up to us to notice and take action. We cannot expect God to do everything for us.

I think it's not true. Opportunities in my life knock not only once but even thrice. We should seize all opportunities as much as we can

I agree with @rina110383, I think that opportunities knock more than one time. If we miss one, we are given a second and third chance.

I agree they knock more than once. Just a matter is its worth taking. Most are scams these days and probably always were. Hard to trust anything that seems good. Such scoundrels out there running things and I am a positive person but real at same time.

I think that they can knock at the door every day... or never, there is an important luck factor involved.

Peter, very interesting post. I do not believe that opportunity only comes once in one's life. I believe there can be many opportunities but do not have any to share.

I don't think that proverb is accurate. I've had many opportunities and I've tried to take advantage of them.
