Something about all this political protocol has gotten on my nerves and I really only had 2 left, now there's one
Over the past 6 decades I have always said "Merry Christmas" to those who celebrated the season and in light of that I put it on my Xmas card.
So, for those who are in it solely for the politics .... ummmm, may I say GET A LIFE Christmas is as old as the hills so just go with the flow, OK??
Now, since not many who read this are against the whole merry thing:
MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS
Oh, I'm savin the new year salutes for the end of the month.
Remind me to ask admin for font color control, that would really be fun.

Merry Christmas. I think it's more personal and what we usually say.

If you say, Merry Christmas that is how I'll respond. If you say something else, I'll respond...same to you! That covers almost every possibility. If you say, bah humbug..I will say...have a good day!

I love Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays. Never liked Seasons Greetings for some reason.

I'm just so tired of all the political bs that wants to abolish that good ole Merry Christmas I've always known @Courtlynn

I'm fine with Merry Christmas, but I'm ok with any other greetings (as long as it's meant to be nice ). It's nuts that we have to be careful about stepping on eggshells even for a holiday greeting these days - it's just a traditional thing to say!

As the family of my husband did not celebrate Christmas but Hanukkah, I took the habit to say Season Greetings. It's not a matter of politically correct, the fact is that you do not know to whom you are talking. Why to be rude imposing a Merry Christmas?

I thought that's why you asked @jaboUK I probably should have explained it but then so far only a few people have paid any attention to it.
But you are very thoughtful not to have mentioned that I might look a wee bit older than warranted for someone of my tender years

I always say Merry Christmas but I'm not offended if someone tells me to have a happy holiday. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas

Yeah, that whole "political crap" on the CORRECT way makes me sick @rebelann . At least here in my town they still ALLOW a Nativity Scene on the Courthouse lawn. When I left my doctors office I said, "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanuka; whatever, whatever, whatever." They all started laughing.

How interesting @nanette64 I don't think I know anyone who celebrates it .... those who are African/American that is.

@rebelann 1st African-American holiday started in 1966 to remind those people not to forget their culture or heritage. It's from 12/26-1/1

I'm fine with either! I have friends and family that don't celebrate it and pay respects to other holidays in the time period.
So if someone says happy hanukkah, I don't mind returning the greeting, etc.
Overall, if people are being nice? Woo hoo! happy whatever holiday back to you!
Its a lot better than someone going around with a frown, glaring at people, and giving people the middle finger or using curse words in an in polite manner!

Good attitude. I have to admit that the only holidays I know anything about is Christmas and New Year, the rest I try to learn as I go but sometimes it's just a little confusing.

I'm so glad so few are politically correct ..... now, how do we rebel against all that politics that has no place in the festivities of winter?
