Packed rice on plastics

sack, rice
Philippines

A couple of days ago some one gave us a rice sack as a gift. But I don't trust it since Mom doesn't like the rough ones. So, I bought another 3 kilos and combine it with the blueberry one, three cups each. I just don't like the effort it putting it in all three's all over again. Not to mention we have a rice dispenser that hasn't work for a long time. Anyways, I'm sure some of you out there eats rice. I wonder what brown rice would taste like.

Organically grown or mountain rice are more expensive. They retain most of their nutrition compared to well-milled rice. Some people just don't like the brown or dark color of the grain.

@Letranknight2015 _They're OK but my family prefer well-milled rice. It takes getting use to. I've switch from refine white sugar to brown sugar, so why not do the same with rice.

My older sister is using brown rice. She said it is more nutritious than the well milled rice. But I don't like it because it is more heavy in the stomach than the white rice..

Hello @magallon if it's more heavy on the stomach then it's more practical to use that because that would help me lessen my consumption of rice.

If its NFA kind of rice, its the lowest quality of all the rice because it means it was hoarded. But if its the mountain grown kind of rice, that is the nutritional kind of rice our government is campaigning to consume.

@ilocosboy I don't really know how the NFA ones are made but they don't last long.

19 Dec 17
Hello @ilocosboy Nope none of these are NFA, I know what quality of rice they are. They rotted after the day. I prefer the more nutrional value of rice.

Then I conclude that is the nutritional kind of rice which is commonly grown in the slopeof the mountain.

Hello @hereandthere that's the brand they gave us, not sure if it's still the same thing. They were instances were the rice gets repacked.

@Letranknight2015 We are able to buy rice through a restaurant supply store, which makes it more reasonable. Black rice is about three times the price as white and delicious. An article I wrote about it last year should be here along with a photo of the black rice and pineapple.

I usually prepare brown rice. It takes a little longer to cook...but has a lot more flavour.

Hello @rina110383 There are still rice dispensers to this day, how do you store your rice. We have a dispenser but we don't get rice from it, we have put some old coffee containers were we put the rice.

Blueberry rice? I've never heard of that. I've read that white rice sold in the US is as bad for you as eating plastic.
