Holiday season for many.

As the festive season has started and I have observed that majority of active mylotters celebrate Christmas and New Year and they start preparing for it months in advance. Who all are going to be away on Holidays and would celebrate Christmas and New Year and in the process would skip mylot activities? I will be here as we have got only holiday i.e. on 25th December. Hope you will have a jolly time during the ensuing festive season. Image courtesy - Google

Starting from Saturday we have Christmas vacation for a week until the 31st and we go back to work on the 1st. ..can you believe that ? Why not give a holiday on the 1st of January? I see a lot of people taking leave on that day or come to work bleary eyed

So you are going to get winter break beginning coming Saturday. Any special plans to spend your holidays? Yes, you are right that on 1st January also, they should have allowed a holiday because on New Year's day people keep greeting each other and no work takes place.

@kiran8 Yes, you are right that many people enjoy New Year Eve parties and return late at night or sleep late. Waking up early next morning for them could be troublesome and as you have rightly said that 1st January should be declared as a holiday.

@dpk262006 More than that many people attend New year's Eve parties and come home during the early hours and then to get ready for work .. They shd declare January 1 St as a holiday.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, @dpk262006 !! It has been a hectic month . . . and only now that it is the day after the official holiday, I am finally now being able to relax . But we do celebrate New Year's Eve and the Day - so the festivities are not completely over yet. I am still here on myLot, but cannot be here for too long (like always).

I have been away most of the days this month due to my hectic schedule. I have been spending more time with family and we are mostly out and not in our own home. I haven't been spending time in the office too.
