A Quick Update

Hi everyone. A very quick update regarding my father. Sadly he passed away on Sunday 10th December. My sister, my 2 children and I were with him through the final difficult hours. Thank you all for the kind messages on my previous post. You are all a really special group of people on myLot. I have to give a special thanks to one extra special person on myLot. I won't embarrass them by revealing their identity but they know who they are. I just wouldn't have got through the past week or so without them. I will endeavour to resume normal service as soon as possible. Thanks again everyone.

@WorDazza My dad's health is iffy..and it is a concern. The good thing was his last scan was negative so that is a blessing!

I am so glad you were able to be with him @WorDazza . I'm sure it was a comfort to him. This is one of the hardest things we have to go through in our lifetimes. You can be sure that all of us here at Mylot are with you in thoughts and prayers.

I was unaware as I have not been that active at this site. It's a great relief to be there with a loved one during their final hours. It really does help you bear your sorrow because you don't have extra sadness for not having been there. Take whatever amount of time you need before resuming normal service. You have my deepest sympathy.

Thank you. It has been difficult as my mum has dementia and my dad was caring for her. My mum is sorted with the appropriate care now so that's a weight off my mind.

I am happy that you were able to be by his side. I will always feel enormous regret that I wasn't with my sister when she passed in the summer of 2016.
