It's a well-known 'rumor' that the next "Doctor Who"-Doctor (the next regeneration of a time-travelling space-alien who's lived for hundreds of years by 'regenerating' into a new person every so-often) is a woman. While it's entirely possible for The Doctor's next regeneration to be 'into a female body,' the fact remains that 'Jenny' ("The Doctor's Daughter") ended 'the episode in which we met her' by blasting-off into the universe--announcing her plan to travel around the universe 'saving the day' for people. Could she (the character, not necessarily played by the same actress---who, I hear, is the daughter of an actor who played The Doctor & -actually married another actor who played The Doctor) be The Next Doctor? Why not? http://awesomeonward.blogspot.com/2017/12/fantheory-or-fanfiction-bbcdoctorwho.html

Jenny wasn't the Doctor. She was half time lord. She was made up of the doctor's DNA and a machine.

How do we know The Doctor's 100% Time-Lord?

@mythociate That still doesn't mean Jenny is the doctor. The doctor is not going to regenerate into his own daughter. That's absurd.
