My husband created a base using bamboo sticks and I did it up. This was a few years ago.

a hard broom made of coconut leaves, the stalk itself, is usually what we made Christmas tree of, during our elementary years. then we hang some ornaments and balls.
during my senior college year, our room won first place for the tree made of coconut husks.

Stick Christmas trees are still beautiful even if they don't have leaves. The decorations used make them beautiful
