Decided to buy the car

Our original plan is to have a loan to start rebuilding a new house because our house is very old. However my eldest sister decided to put her Christmas bonus as downpayment for the car. The car is owned by my aunt who now lives in Australia. It's a new car and they plan to sell it. We usually borrow that car whenever we have family bonding. Since we use the car like our own car my sister decided to just buy it. She paid 40,000 yesterday and send it to Australia. It was converted to 988 Australian dollar. She will then pay 8,000 pesos monthly for 5 years. I'm happy we had a car now but I'm also sad because our plan to rebuild our house will be delayed. I hope my youngest sister find a good job so she is the one to help in building a new house for the family

The car is actually small for the 6 of us because we are all big. I'm still hoping that we made a way to improve our house

It's a good deal and I guess it's a good idea. The house can wait

@averygirl72 although, if I was in the same position, I'd prioritize the house.

i would rather start with the house, too. i would also prefer a bigger vehicle that you can load stuff in.

Yes investing in the house first is good. I will have to wait longer before we get a brand new house.

If I am not mistaken it's Toyota Yaris currently priced at AU$ 18000. So if you got it for Peso 520000 it's reasonable.

It's not a brand new car maybe 3 years old. It's a Toyota Vios

@averygirl72 It costs a lot of money, to build a home. We have never built one, but maintains two of them, it costs a lot!

The car is probably a very good buy although it is a shame about the house.

If I were to choose between a car and a house, I'd choose the house.
