Yesterday my husband had off from work. He decided to go out to his old job to see everyone and then have some beers with them in the afternoon (they had a half-day for the holiday). He got home around 7 pm or so with my soup and then, incredibly, said to me "I guess you didn't cook anything, huh?" This was after I had been sick in bed all day. I was like "um, NO" so he said "okay, I'm going to go get something to eat" and he went to our usual hangout. That was fine with me. I honestly didn't care because all I was doing was laying in bed feeling like I was dying. There was nothing I needed him for. Well, at 11 pm I hear him get home. This is 4 hours after his trip to Bar #2. He came into the bedroom cracking up. He saw that I was awake and said "guess who just drove me home?" I guessed the chef. He said "no, guess again." I guessed the owner. I was correct and then my next guess was that the chef followed to bring the owner back to the bar. He just thought that was hysterical. I'm glad that they didn't let him drive and that they got him home safely (we live only a mile away), but he should have just called me instead of inconveniencing them. I'm not mad, today is his birthday after all. I guess he just decided to start the party a little early. It will be interesting to see what time he wakes up, though!
