The tears are flowing

My daughter just called crying like a baby. We were just out to dinner last night and she was so depressed as she still didn't hear from my grandson who is in Navy boot camp. Today she was at work when he called her. She was shocked and so happy. Her greatest Christmas present came through. I was crying to when she called me.

Oh gosh that is so sweet. It must be rough, but it is those little things that mean the world!

Yes they do and the worst thing he will not be coming home after basic training, he will be going across country to Seal Training which is more scary than the basic training.

@ramapo17 What a strong man. It will make it all the more sweeter when he comes home and every time after that!

That's marvellous. It would mean so much to her - and to all his family.

I cried along with her. I know how much it means to her since she is divorced from his dad.

I am so glad as I hate seeing her depressed like that. In this day and age we are all scared for all out military and when it is our own, we get really nervous.

oh such an emotional scene. I can't imagine my son being away from me and with a job that's so risky.

That is so so hard and I can only imagine her grandson. My first love went off to the Army an the aches and tears will never be forgotten. I wish her well.
