First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my new Mylot friends! I hope you and your families have a great and safe Holiday Season! I'm just spending time with my family and relaxing for the next few days. I know some of of you will be doing the same but many of you are or will be travelling which is both a joy but also can be stressful. So what are your plans , and how are you spending the next few days over Christmas or your time into the New Year ?

Our Christmas will be pretty quiet. Our son in Ireland rang last night and we'll ring the other one in Melbourne tomorrow. At least we shouldn't be stressing out over Christmas but we're also catching up with friends which will be enjoyable.

@Luap1050 Yes, pretty spread out. That's Melbourne, Australia, just in case you were confused. There is a Melbourne in the US. I think it's in Florida.

Today, we are wrapping gifts to take to our daughter's home, on Christmas morning. She live 2 1/2 hours south of us, so it's quite a long drive. We will probably leave early in the morning and then leave to come home, in the evening. She has all dinner plans under control, so we're bringing four pies for dessert! 'Merry Christmas to you and your family, Derrick'

Thats sounds great Kharla ! ...have a safe drive and as for bringing the desert , I would certainly be doing that if someone is making the dinner...either that or I's offer to bring salad or some appetizer. I'm bringing breaded coconut shrimp for an Appetizer to my Sister's on Christmas day , so hopefully they will taste good to get the taste buds going!

Hello Derrick! Normally we don't celebrate this Christmas but this year we have decided to book a presidential suite at a five star hotel with a pool in the rooftop. Since this is a tropical country, my son would enjoy swimming in that pool. IN fact he is there already since it's the 24th here in the morning. I will go there after work this evening.

We have tried not to go out since our Christmas Day celebration (someone has to stay home to eat all the leftovers! ) but the food supply is going low, so we may have to go grocery shopping one last time for this year. Not looking forward to the task, but one has to do what one has to do!

I'm enjoying a quiet time with my hubby and houseful of fur kids. My huge Christmas gift: not messing with roads and cars and traffic. We've got plenty of treats and groceries. We are capable of walking the driveway to the mail box. Good enough. Merry days to you and yours. Yuletide is a good time to just be.
