Hey everyone, I hope you are doing well. Please, do me a favor and hug family & friends extra tight the next time you see them. Petty arguments-let them go, life is so short. My husband and I went to the store today when our older 3 were at their Christmas party. We were driving when out of nowhere my husband stops, puts the truck in park and RUNS across the 4 lane road. It happened so fast, I didn't know what was happening at first. I look over and there was a man, laying in the middle of the road with his motorcycle laid down about 4 feet away from him. He didn't look alive from where I was sitting but he was-thank God. He was in and out of consciousness. People were standing over him, everywhere. So many people parked anywhere they could to help this man or check on him. My husband and another guy prayed for him and asked God to heal him. They picked his bike up and moved it out of the road. People were crying. Some were talking to him, trying to keep him conscious. It was the most insane scene I have ever seen and I was in tears for him...and his family. When my husband first got to him he was on the phone with his wife and she didn't think he was serious about what happened. I hope someone reached her and she knows which hospital he's in. My husband was going to call her back but it was locked and needed a special password to get into it. My husband went to the hospital they took him to-just to check on him but of course it's against the rules to tell him anything. So, we don't know if he's alive or...not. Life is so precious and can be taken at any second. Think about this before you go to bed angry or hang up a phone angry. That person could be gone in a second. I couldn't help but think I pray they were not fighting before he got into that accident-the guilt the wife will feel the rest of her life is something I cannot even imagine. Two days before Christmas....that poor family. Please pray for him and his family. Wish I had a name for you but they wouldn't tell us that either. God knows who he is though.

I do pray that he lives and I pray for his family. I do know that any kind of accident can happen and we can die. I will also say, I hear about too many people dying or getting maimed on motorcycles. That is why I would never ride one.

@Leapea2417 My husband and I talked about that today. He had a motorcycle years ago and sold it within 2 months because he realized it was more dangerous that anything else. Here it's worse because not wearing a helmet is legal! Thank God the guy today did have a helmet on, which hopefully saved his life.

@LeaPea2417 I agree every state it should be law, for everyone's safety. He was taken to Memorial emergency but it's not an over night stay hospital so they likely transferred him to another one. My husband asked about him and they won't even say if he's alive or not.

@LovingMyBabies I think in every State it should be a law to wear a helmet when driving a motorcycle. Yes, thank goodness the guy was wearing one. Is there any way you can find out if the guy survived? What hospital was he taken to?

@LovingMyBabies Perhaps Johnny can leave a message for the family with his contact information. That would not violate any privacy laws. The family might be glad to talk to someone who was on the scene.

That is sad and I hope this man makes it and not any serious damage done to him. If it wasn't for your husband and the other bystanders he probably wouldn't be here today. I pray they didn't fight either and they find out what made him crash and let's hope it was not a hit and run. Praying for him and his family.

Horrible story and not something nice to witness for you and your husband . A good reminder though for all to live and love for the moment and don't let petty stuff cause estrangements as one never knows....

Your husband is good down where it counts. Today is the anniversary of my brother's passing on. He was 43 and boom, just like that, his heart gave out. His wife and daughter had presents under the tree for him. He was on his way home. He was a trucker and working. Thank God he didn't have the heart attack on that major freeway. You are right: appreciate who you have now. You never know.....
