Who Knew I'd Like The Ballet?

Our youngest son treated his mother, brother, girlfriend, and me to a performance of The Nutcracker last night. It was the first time I've seen this ballet performed by a professional company and only the second time I've ever seen it.
I have to say I was quite impressed with the costumes, the set design, the dancing, and most of all the orchestra. My favorite part was the start of the second act when the curtain opened on the twelve chocolate truffles. They were so incredible cute.
The Pas de Deux near the end of the second act was so beautifully done it nearly brought a tear to my eye.
I'm not saying I've suddenly become a fan of the ballet but I must admit I certainly did enjoy last night's performance.

I would love to experience a ballet once in my life.
I bet I would enjoy it as you did.

There is beauty and grace in the ballet as well as great athleticism.

I've never been to the actual ballet, but I once took my ex-girlfriend to see the Twyla Tharpe dancers. There was a bit of ballet and ballet elements in the show.

Even though you aren’t suddenly a huge fan of ballet like I am it’s great you enjoyed it more then you thought you would!

I don't think I shall ever express an interest for ballet! Glad you had fun!
