Nasty Christmas start - coffee machine stopped working!

I had a nasty shock when I woke and and headed to the kitchen to make myself some coffee. As I switched on the coffee machine, it whirred and then stopped. The pump would not start and I could not get it to work. I was very disappointed. The machine is only 5 years old, but I guess it wasn't built to last for more time. Now I have to blow some money to get a new coffee machine.

@scarlet_woman I've opened it up once to change a capacitor. One of the screws is completely stuck now. Have to figure out a way to check that.

Breville is a pretty good brand. I was hoping it will last a few more years though. Since I used it only once a day, I was hoping it had more life left in it.
