Merry Christmas afternoon!

The kids have gone home, the dishwasher and clothes washer are going, and I just had a lovely nap.
Last night we had our big dinner and it was wonderful having everyone help.
This morning the 14 year old cooked breakfast for us (I told him that was a nice new tradition!) He fixed sausage, biscuits, and gravy with a little help from me.
After I read the Christmas story from the book of Luke in the Bible, the seven of us took turns opening gifts.
Later we called the two grandkids who couldn't be here, then the kids from Charleston had to head back on their 6 hour drive so they could Skype with the other grandparents.
One of our favorite gifts was a weekend in Myrtle Beach in the spring from our daughter and family. Can't wait for that!

No scarf, which would have been lovely, but I guess my favorite was the trip to Myrtle Beach, then an Instant Pot and a wireless charger for my phone. Hope you had a great Christmas.

I felt great this Christmas since we managed to go to my favorite church in a city for our Christmas mass (that church and me, we have a certain bonding for the last 4 decades). As a family, we have a better Christmas, more meaningful and more exotic foods 
... The kids got exactly (and more) of what they had wished for from Santa Clause. The Santa Clause is poorer of course, but can't complain!
