Oh, it was awful!!!
Oh, it was terrible!!!
Oh, it was....nothing.
I’ve mentioned this before: in the Navy we called ‘em “weather guessers.” And for a good reason.
Saturday my weather apps started pinging notifications to my phone about a winter weather advisory. That continued on Sunday. Even this morning it was continued.
See the photo? That’s what we had.
Now, I will clarify it by saying this: here in Kentucky, we think we’re in the south, so when there’s over 100 flakes of snow, there’s an emergency declaration. There are school systems that close at the mention of the word snow. Good thing they don’t play Hank Snow on the radio any more, huh??
Well, I hope that’s all we get this year. I broke my ankle in snow three years ago in Chicago, and since then the only snow I want is Hank Snow.

Even up here in Oregon, schools were closed for a week last year due to not one, but two unusual ice and snow storms. I am hoping that there is no repeat this winter.

I am glad I am not snowed in all alone. It is a blessing here in northern Europe. Outside even though it is cold it looks like we are having a spring thaw.

@marlina yes the grass is all green and a cold rain is falling and that could be in very early spring.

Actually the have been pretty off this year. Say it's going to rain and nothing saying it will be 80 and only 60. What the hell, they better check those satellites because think Trump put his alternative facts program into them.

We get those same advisories, only over rain (sprinkles) and wind (breezes.)

We were supposed to get an Arctic air mass last week, but somehow it missed us. And our few snow flurries have resulted in nothing. I'll be breaking out the shorts tomorrow. 58° is the forecast.

That's funny, 100 flakes of snow. I can picture the school official counting how many flakes are falling per square yard. It's the same here, and people don't have any idea how to drive in it, and on of those people is me.
