Goodbye 2017

I'm ready to say goodbye to 2017 and onto 2018. It was a year of some big highs and lows for my family and some of them will have a big affect for a lifetime. I will start with the low, as some of you may not know about the biggest fire in California caused people to be killed, many acres burned including businesses and homes with life changing affects to many people. My home is fine; however, one friend lost their home. My daughter's boyfriends Mom was in the hospital and just was able to go home on Christmas Evening. The smoke was bad and I avoided going outside when possible. She worked near the fire and I wish she had been able to stay home; however, am relieved she is fine now. The biggest high is my daughter has finished college, as she attended college a lot of years. Now she can work full time and have time for other activities. Other great things went to Disneyland, Sea World and Las Vegas. Its fun to visit other places. I still have a part time job to help my daughter pay bills, as she must start paying her bank loan in 2018. I'm glad I can help her. What are you going to miss about 2017? Anything your glad is over?

I have great hope for 2018. Some of my friends passed away in their 80's and 90's, so they did live long lives. Have a great 2018.

I'm looking forward to what's ahead although I'm not sure what that will be. We'd like to do a bit of caravanning within Australia so that should be fun.

We hope to travel more in 2018. Certainly, headed to San Jose, California where my daughter will graduate in 2018. It will in interesting to see, if we make it to other states with some rules of travel changing in the United States.

@Fishmomma It must be a bit confusing working out which rules apply to which states. The main rules here about moving between states mostly applies to the transportation of food and/or animals.

I hope you have a very much better year ahead! Congrats to your daughter. =) Our year started rough but God had a great reason for the suffering we went through-only realized it later on. The year has ended amazing and I know as long as we stay on the Lord's path next year will be great as well.

It is just another turn of the calendar and writing 2018 instead of 2017. I expect more of the same.

Many of the past years were a turning of the calendar for me. My daughter is the first one to get her Master's Degree in my family.

I will only miss the fact that I was one year younger last year.

Your answer made me chuckle. The years do go by fast.
