My grocery shopping list

I have been working on it for the past 2 days. I never go to the store without a list as that is just asking for a $300 bill and a second trip to the store because I will have inevitably forgotten something. Anyway, as I sit here going over it I was struck by what is (and isn't) on it. It is pretty much ALL fresh and unprocessed ingredients that will be prepared as-is or turned into something else. The only things that are already "made" are bread sticks, a French baguette, egg noodles, coffee K-cups, and hamburger rolls. I also am impressed by how much of the list is fresh non-starchy vegetables. I am shocked when I see what some people on here eat day in and day out and there is never a green vegetable listed. It isn't difficult to cook and eat healthy meals. We do it here all the time. I wonder why more people don't bother to make the effort.

You're right - it's not difficult - and it could actually be cheaper. Besides the effort part, I think sadly some people just don't like eating "healthier" food - they like their fast and convenience foods.

That is definitely the case.
