Does an age gap effects the closeness between friends in friendship?

Friendship is never ending relationship in everyone's life.i have lot of friends.i used to show interest to make friends of my same age group.somehow there is comfort to share and mingle with same age ones.we can do friendship with elder ones too but can we really feel comfortable sharing all things to elder ones to us ?.yeah may be some differences exists.might be elder one can give better advices as they will have more experiences.
what do you think of this age difference in friendship?.do you feel free to share anything?.share your opinions friends:)

In friendship age doesn't matter. I have friends from different age groups.
Younger friends give you laugh, whereas elders can share their experience.

Age doesn't matter when it comes to choosing who do you want to be friends with. Friendship is a language of two people mutually bonded with the same interest and likes and i see no wrong for having a close friend younger than you or older than you.

It does not affect so much. It's sort of limited closeness, not much as close as when the two are not so much different in age.

I have close friends who are 10 years older than myself (like Hector and Marta) and friends who are over 10 years younger (like Lili and Leo). I give a big party for my birthday and they all have fun.

My mostly friends are elder than me..and trust me they were like my guide..they treat me as their sister and ya they care and support me alot...plus I can share each and everything with them...basically my secretkeeper they are...and yaa one disadvantage is that you can never win the fight over..heh
