Is New Year just another day for you?

For me January 1, 2018 will be just another day. I have given New Year a lot of importance in days gone by but now I treat it as just another day. I wonder if it is my age or just trying to breathe easy after the hectic time I had for Christmas preparing months in advance? How will be your New Year's Day?

@allknowing Yes it is a lot of fun, we gather stuff that can be disposed off like broken down furniture bits and twigs..

It's just another day for us but we do stay up till midnight to welcome the new year and hug our family members. Other than that, we don't do anything special anymore.

Not doing anything special anymore seems to be the way with many

It's still very special to me, as are all days. Then again, I didn't celebrate Christmas.

When I was a child New Year was a day to get together with all the family that we hadn't seen at Christmas. So it was another huge day with lots of food and talk. Once I started going out New Year's Eve became the high point of the season. It's still the same really but without quite the same excitement. New Year's Day will be spent getting over New Year's Eve!

That will be a 'Morning after the night before' for you which is normally a laid back day. '

Just another day - except that it will be a public holiday. For me, every day is like a holiday.

We used to be with friends on New Year's Eve but now we prefer to be alone at home.

One need not wait for particular days to celebrate. Every day could be a day to celebrate life. I believe in that.
