Good morning fellow Mylotters. It is early morning in Germany. I think this will be my last discussion this year 2017. Sorry I have not been here a lot these last few days. I am so busy offline. How about you? Tonight, I will be decorating the Guinness cake I have made last night after working. I will also do the Black Forest cake. These cakes are my contribution to our family New Years celebration. Have you tried Guinness cake? Well, it is just a normal fruit cake which contains Guinness beer. I am making this cake as it is the wish of my brother-in-law. He has eaten this cake a few years ago which I have baked before. Anyway, it has been a long time since I have baked this cake. The photo above is the Guinness cake batter. I have not taken a photo of the finished cake, yet. I will do it tonight. Enjoy your last days of this year and of course have a wonderful New Year 2018. Thanks for interacting with me this year. More power to us for the coming year. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018

I have never had a Guinness cake, but have had Guinness pies. I would expect that Guinness world blend well in a fruit cake.

I have not tried Guinness pie. That sounds good. It was indeed delicious as a Guinness fruitcake. Happy new year @Asylum

@thelme55 I was never very fond of Guinness as a drink, but it does make an excellent ingredient.

Thank you @JudyEv. I love baking cakes and it was a pleasure for me to bake that cake for my relatives. The husbands of my nieces who have eaten the Guinness cake for the first time, loved it too.
