Happy New Year my friends. What better way to end the year than to bring you a couple real good stories, about people showing kindness to their neighbors.
First up is the story about a man who gave back.
Free Meals for Homeless
In 1984 Eyvazian arrived in America from Turkey after spending 40 days in a Turkish prison after escaping his homeland, Iraq. He found a home with his uncle and began working as a janitor at a Jack in the Box in San Antonio. He now owns many Jack in the Box restaurants including El Pollo Loco restaurants.
On Christmas he decided to open one of his many El Pollo Loco restaurants to serve Christmas dinner to the homeless of the city. He didn't ask any of his employees to help, but 30 did. Those served were very grateful for the hot meal they received, some saying it was the first they had in years.

This second story just makes me feel good. I hope it does you too.
Paying it Forward
Sixty-year-old Charles Reynolds had just cashed his paycheck when a thief reached around and stole the $500 he had just cashed. The video of Charles chasing the thief out of the Wal-Mart store in Largo, Florida went viral and was seen by Kari Diaz, who decided then and there to earn enough to give him back that $500, even though Wal-Mart had already done so.
Kari knew what it was like to be almost homeless, raising her kids as a single mom, and putting her kids names on the Salvation Army Angel Tree so they could have Christmas presents. Someone helped her and she wanted to pay it forward.

I hope you enjoyed these treasures of human kindness I found for this last day of 2017. Thanks for reading.
