How do you personally feel about tattoos? I know they have become widely accepted. What do you think?

I agree with you that it is up to the individual. I don't think it should hinder ones perception of them. Personally, I have quite a few tattoos and have never had any issues socially nor professionally. I just like to hear everyone's opinion :)

@infatuatedbby What were you thinking of getting? I have friends that are on the fence too, its totally normal. My advice is to hold off until you know you're sure :) Personally I love tattoos. They hurt! But you get a rush of euphoria afterwards!

In many countries like India, Mexico and among the red Indians Tattoos we're part of tradition and lifestyle since decades. In India we get to see tattoos on very old people who get God's name tattooed on their forearm or certain symbols on their forehead. So it has always been accepted in India. Personally speaking , I have no tattoos on my body but all my children have tattoos ..

I respect other people if tattoos interest them. As for me, I don't think I will ever want to have a tattoo on my body as I am certain it won't look good on me. =)

@taciaelisepeace I have three small traditional tattoos done by 'mambabatoks', and three other tattoos done by another tattoo shop. Tattoo placements are in the collarbone area, in the shoulder, in the chest, both forearms, and in the wrist.

I think tattoos should only be made if they are meaningful and we feel that we have to do something to always remember a special event in our lives. I would never do a tattoo if I had a reason. But you, what do you think about tattoos?

I do see what you mean. I think tattoos should be used to your express yourself. If you really enjoy flowers and think they symbolize you, who care if a billion other people have them, if it means something to you and it makes you happy or at ease to see it then get it. I think that as long as they're not offensive they should be accepted in a work environment.
