Freezing My A** Off

Yeah, Happy New Year my butt. It is 22 degrees (-5.55c) and with the windchill, it's 10 degrees (-12.22c). In the middle of Texas, mind you!!! I knew I would have to bundle up and take the hammer with me in order to break up all the ice in the donkey and raccoon water tubs. By the time I got done, I expected to be frozen in place halfway back to the house. And of course because of the cold, my spine is screaming. I don't normally turn up the heat very much even on cold days like this but I did and I still feel like a Popsicle. The temperatures this week are suppose to go up a little but the nights are going to be like they were last night; so that means every morning this week, I'm going to be hammering ice from the water tubs for the critters. Oh such fun; I just can't wait.

First of all we are not your butt! Stay calm and warm if you are cold! Thank you!

You mistook the phrase @creativeaashish . I was stating that the New Year did not start the way I wanted it to because of the extreme cold temperatures. Had I have stated that everybody at Mylot could kiss my butt; that would have been disrespectful.

@creativeaashish Sorry about that. I guess the exclamation marks (!) threw me off.

Maybe a warm bath can help you get back to normal.

I think I'm gonna take an Aspirin, put an Icy/Hot Patch on my back, wrap my mid-section with the Tommy Copper Waist Belt and eat a lot of soup @MALUSE .

I am soon to take a warm shower. But it's only "cool" here in California.

@TheHorse A hot shower is what I would need but then stepping out of the shower you get a blast of cool air which sucks.

It's freezing here too. It's definitely a lot colder up here. As far as I'm concerned, it can start warming up any time now.

I'm sorry it's so cold in Texas. I hope it warms up for you soon. Seems it's cold all over, even Florida is expecting some snow in the Panhandle I think. And Mississippi is cold too. So, you're not alone.

Yeah, unfortunately I found a frozen pipe that runs from the house out to where the donkeys are @just4him . I just hope it doesn't explode.

@just4him It took 6 hours for that pipe to dethaw.

@nanette64 If you can let it drip, it shouldn't. I have maintenance coming in today, they are looking for leaking pipes with all this sub zero weather we've been having, I'm sure they want to make sure there aren't any busted pipes.

@andriaperry Yeah, here too. It's suppose to be a high of 33 but with the wind out of the NNE at 12, well, ya know.

That sounds a tad cool for Texas. How thick was the ice on the tubs?

1/2 to a full inch @TheHorse . It took several blows with the hammer.

@nanette64 The same here, and I think we both live in Northeast Texas. I've had the heat up higher than normal also. I sure all your critters appreciate it.
