Tomorrow is the day where I will be expecting a phone interview from an engineering company. I had applied for the post of Sales Co ordinator, a full time offline job that would provide me a fixed salary. I am nervous now, having cold feet and hands, I couldn't sleep well for the past few days, was wondering how it will turn out. This is my first interview after spending ten years as a housewife. Do you experience nervous breakdown for job interview?

I think we are all nervous when it is a matter of a job interview. Try to relax and rest, it is important to show self confidence.

It's normal, I hope that your interview didn't have bad results. I get nervous too if I were you in this situation.

At my first job interview, I did experience it. Now, I am kinda confident dealing with job interviews. I am sure you can nail this job interview.

@Shavkat so, how do you answer the questions? Do you need to pause and think for a few minutes before answers or goes blank?

Stay calm. Rehearse a few of the common queries you expect. Go through what you will day when they ask you to introduce yourself or tell about your job experiences. Be honest ,speak slowly and clearly. Be comfortably dressed and in a cool room. I'm sure you will do well. All the best.

@peachpurple I often just switch off, which probably loses me the jobs as I can end up seeming robotic

Your reaction is quite normal considering you have not interviewed. Just remember its not an interrogation, just responses to questions to see if you are the right fit for the job. Smile, so confidence you can handle the position, and provide examples whenever possible. In a short time it will be over and whatever happens it is a useful learning experience. Just do the best you can! Good luck
