Who had time to be here this year? Not I! We had the most fabulous New Year's Eve of them all. Appetizers and drinks were a hit. Dinner at our local steakhouse was delicious. But dessert back at our place was super! Friends brought live entertainment in the form of a local saxophone player. I had to tell Alexa, our Echo, "Off!" We watched various fireworks over the water, watched the ball drop in Times Square in New York City on TV, kissed to welcome in the new year, and as usual, my husband escorted our guests right out the door. We did have one visitor come afterwards, but she didn't overstay her welcome. The best of everything were the phone calls from our children, grandchildren, friends, and family up north. It was a magical New Year's Eve. We picked up our sister-in-law from the airport on New Year's Day and treated her to dinner at a restaurant. We are so excited that she is here at her condo for the season. She just stopped by while I was writing this, so I hope it posts!

Last year started out ok but as of late August became a horrendous one @DianneN I just hope that all those people devastated by the disasters will find the means to get back on track.

Sounds like a very exciting New Years Eve. In the old days, we had friends who were musicians and this has brought back memories of those days.
