We all knew the day would come when the Christmas break was over. I am up, fed, and dressed and ready to go. That is, if I can decide what to take for lunch. Hubby went back to work yesterday. He is all packed up. I think I am glad to be going back although I just was getting in the swing of getting stuff done here at home. Do you have any plans?

I'm taking advantage of not having any orders going out and delaying my return to work as long as I can since I never really get a 'vacation' per se.

Only problem would be no pay. I guess that is why you are out defrosting water pipes.

The day back after a layoff is the worst but once it's over, you'll return to the normal rhythm of things.

It all depends on the students and how out of routine they have gotten.

I am retired, so no back to teaching for me. I am happy about that.

Do you ever consider substituting?

@GardenGerty I did substitute when our son was little, and tutored special needs students on weekends, but I am over all that. I never liked substituting, but the money was good.

We are on the road to Florida so it is different every day. The weather has turned really interesting on the drive down.

I hope "interesting" is the same as "good".

@GardenGerty lol Not exactly it was frigid and while we didn't drive through the freezing rain we had to stay put a day and then change our route to avoid it

I may be "retired" but I am still busy. This week I'm babysitting...then I'm getting down to crunch time to prepare for my move in early February.

You work retail, or sales, right? One of the disadvantages of those jobs.

It is funny how getting a bit of a break from work can sometimes get us out of step. Things here are all as they were last month.
