Life Is Back To Normal

Life is getting back to normal finally. It's been a wonderful holiday season and I'm happy to see the start of a new year but daily life here has been anything but routine. Today my daughter went back to work and I'm busy getting things done that I've put off while she's been home. She doesn't keep me from doing things it's just that we tend to go out more and are busier. Now I have the day to myself and I feel like we're getting back to normal. I started taking down the Christmas decorations yesterday and hope to have it all done by tomorrow. What seemed like a good idea when it was all put out now seems like a hassle putting it all away. I will be sad to see the Christmas tree packed away as I do enjoy the ambiance it provides at night with the lights lit. The good thing about getting all the decorations put away is the house always seems so much bigger. The washer and dryer are busy this morning and I have the crockpot going with pea soup. I took out chicken to defrost for dinner and we'll have a nice chicken stir fry. The news says a monster Nor'easter is moving up the coast so it's either hit or miss here in my part of Pennsylvania. At least today it doesn't seem as cold as it has been for the last week or so but maybe I'm just getting used to the frigid temperatures. So, that's my day so far. Not exciting by any means but I'm ready for some down time.

Don't wait too long, maybe the storm will come earlier than predicted.

At least you're looking forward to it. Most of us are not so happy

I didn’t hear about this Nor’easter. This Friday it will be two weeks since I’ve gotten out to get groceries so we are running out of everything! A little each day I took my decorations down and yesterday I got the last thing put away, the Christmas tree.

Hope you aren't affected by the storm. I'm happy to have a well stocked pantry once again.

I read about the storm and extra frigid temperatures. Enjoy your down time and stay warm. It's 74 here now, but will drop every hour until it hits the 50s. Tomorrow's high here will be in the 50s, and that's darn cold for south FL! We may have to go to the Caribbean to warm up.

The festivities are nice, but it's good to get back to normal. I hope the storm misses you.

I still need to take down my decorations. It's always such a hassle. Every year I complain and swear I'm not putting them up again next year...but then I always put them up during the holiday season anyway.

I had a similar day...taking down decorations and putting the washing machine on.. I miss the decorations too...while the room looks bigger it also looks plain...

I already put away my decorations. I was ready to put them away because Lily, my cat, kept messing with them.
