Well here it is Jan. 3 and I'm finally getting on myLot again. Apart from the usual Christmas visiting I went to see my brother in Cobourg, Ontario to spend a lovely Christmas Eve. However, I thought I had got away with being gifted by the usual Christmastime viruses everyone gets. No- Almost though! This runny-nose, sore-throat cold had the decency to only attack me AFTER Christmas. It begun on December 30th and is still an unwanted Holiday guest--haha! There should be a study on why everyone always gets sick around Christmas. Even with the flu shot this little nasty visitor snuck by. Tsk, tsk. Probably associated with extra stress, bad eating and lack of sleep during the Holidays but oh well- I'm not giving any of that up! Did you make it through so far? Hope you all stay happy and Healthy for 2018! Picture by Pixabay free images.

I'm sorry you couldn't get away without it hitting you. I hope you feel better soon. I didn't have the flu, but I did have a nasty cold a few weeks back that disappeared just before Christmas, so that was good. I hope you have a Happy New Year as well.

Argh! I have heard that during winter, people tend to stay indoors a lot . . . so everyone's not getting a lot of fresh air and whatever is indoors circulates indoors - on top of the holiday madness. Thus far we are knocking on wood, but I'll have to worry about what the kids might "bring home" once school starts again next week. Hope the holidays were great for you - and a happy new year too! Get better soon!!

happy New Year to you too! And yes good luck escaping all the nasties- I figured I got it from my granddaughter as she had a little bit of a cold earlier. I took tons of Vitamin C though and think I got away with just a mild case! :)
