Celebration meals

It has been a rough year, health wise, for my husband. Tomorrow he will be 72. That is hard to believe.
This year we will have been married twenty years.
Okay, so that is two milestones, probably should not be posting them in that manner.
I asked hubby where he would like to eat for his birthday. He said he would like to wait until Friday night, and would like to go to Pizza Ranch.
Funny thing, I made pizza tonight.
We ate pizza at a restaurant last week.
Hubby is really not happy unless he can have pizza at least once a week.
Do you have certain meals you eat to celebrate?
Actually, for those who do not have one, Pizza Ranch is more than a pizza restaurant. It has wonderful fried chicken, and desserts. I actually think we are going because of the chicken.
I like to go there because of their hazelnut coffee. Friday cannot come too soon to suit me.

Glad he's getting what he wants for his birthday dinner. We don't do anything specific but whatever the birthday person wants.

Often we are not at home or in town for my birthday. I enjoy this restaurant as well.

At his age, he should eat what he desires.

It usually is more important to the kids. It seems we celebrate everything with food.

@much2say That sounds good to me. I love experimenting with different flavors.

@GardenGerty They have various stews and meats that go with rice. I like ghormeh sabzi - a green herb stew with chunks of beef .

Pizza has always been my family's celebratory food. We would always have it on birthdays and other special occasions (unless it was my parents' birthdays; then we'd have steak and baked potatoes.)

Does your mince pie have meat in it, or is it all fruits and nuts?

No, not certain food to celebrate. Happy Birthday to hubby. I like pizza but I am burned out right now.
