Happy Freakin Freezin Friday

After yesterdays snow it's nice to see the sun shining today. My area didn't get hit with as much as surrounding areas but we got enough to close the schools again today. I think the schools are closed today more because it's so darn cold than the snow.
Anyway, life goes on and we're heading into the weekend. I don't have any plans for the weekend and just intend on staying home and doing some fun things....crocheting, reading and watching some tv shows that have been clogging up the DVR that I haven't had a chance to watch.
Today is a normal day....laundry, vacuuming and general tidy up.
My daughter went to work today and I hope she can leave a little early so her commute home isn't too bad. I worry about her driving such a long distance (each way) when you hear about so many accidents on the roads especially in bad weather. A mom never stops worrying no matter how old her children are.
I'm going to get off on all the things I worry about 
as there probably isn't enough space even on the internet.

I hate when my dvr gets clogged with unwatched shows but I also hate to just sit and watch tv. Usually I crochet during tv time so I still feel like I'm accomplishing something plus it keeps my hands busy and I don't snack

I don't know what the temperature was when I woke up but it is 7 here now. The warmest it will be today is 13. The wind chill was supposed to be -35 below so they cancelled the public school here too where my daughter goes. My son and I are sitting and doing his cyber school.

@Marilynda1225 In town when I went it said it was 4 degrees. Not sure why the app on phone showed 7. My mother said tomorrow is supposed to be colder.

It went from 9 to 12 degrees currently. This weekend will be brutally cold.

It was very cold here Friday the highest we saw was 2 degrees with -25 windchill and been cold like that all weekend long. I hope your daughter made it to work and back safely. I have not gone anywhere this weekend I pretty much stayed home.

There's a thaw on the horizon....they're predicting that we get above freezing next week! Holy cow, bikini weather!!
You stay safe. I'm staying inside and drinking lots of hot tea.

I am not happy its sooooo cold, but so far our house is fine and warm. We have had two days with no snow...thankful about that too.

My day started out bright and full of sunshine.
The clouds moved in by lunch and then in the early afternoon the snow began to fall.
We've had about 20 cm so far, and its so cold and windy that the light snow is blowing everywhere and the visibility is terrible.

Our younger son FaceTimed us late morning. He seems to call us every day, bless him. He had to leave for a business appointment and as always, I told him to drive carefully. I say that to my husband, too. It's something we do. As loving mothers, we never stop worrying about our children. You enjoy your weekend indoors and be thankful you don't have to go out!

We hardly got hit with snow but had alot of rain, wind and freezing temps so school was closed yesterday - by wednesday night - and they had a two hour delay today.
Hope she made it home fine.
